Sure, Konolds Pond is just a very short distance away. Lake Wintergreen is good enough to spend more than a day at, National Computer Camps is a good local campground; if you need a place to stay Courtyard New Haven at Yale is a delightful choice. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Quinnipiac Trail, and a day on the slopes of Mount Southington is just what you need. A delightful site to camp here at Lake Wintergreen                  is Gentile's Camp Ground, and why not a little side journey to Belden Brook. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Powder Ridge is good, and don't leave Lake Wintergreen without first going for a hike along the Naugatuck Trail. There are plenty of people from New Haven-Milford here at Lake Wintergreen; there are fine locations to look at along the Regicides Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Wintergreen a wet site; through the month of May you get the most rain around here; the driest month is February. Summer at Lake Wintergreen arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are typically in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Lake Wintergreen. You simply must adore Lake Wintergreen.
