    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Winchester Lake. The warmest time of the year at Winchester Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are commonly in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Winchester Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. Lakes are brilliant; Park Pond is a lake that's close to Winchester Lake, and don't leave Winchester Lake without first  
   going for a hike along the Mattatuck Trail. You'll meet a lot of folks from Torrington here; the peak of Mount Ouleout can be spotted from Winchester Lake.
There's so much to do here at Winchester Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Laurel Crest Campground is a great location for that, and you can go for a hike on the Mattatuck Trail. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are truly plentiful here at Winchester Lake. Ski Sundown has nice slopes and a friendly
 
               staff, and Days Inn - Torrington is a delightful location to get some rest. Winchester Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is January.
Fox Brook is a glorious place to have a look at, and the scenery at Winchester Lake Dam is lovely. You definitely must fancy Winchester Lake. If you came to camp Burr Pond State Park is a tremendous location to do that, and there's nice hiking along the Wild Cat Trail. This lake is so wonderful. John A. Minetto State Park is a pleasant site to go if you're at Winchester Lake; you can run the rapids of Still River.
This lake is so wonderful. This is a splendid neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Lake Winchester is a lake around here, and get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Sandy Brook River. Mohawk Mountain is a very popular ski area in the vicinity; if you need a site to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a wonderful choice.
