Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Natchaug River; when you're here it's always fun to go to Mansfield Hollow State Park. From Willimantic Reservoir you get a perfect sight of Miller Hill, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Regent Inn. Now, you may think that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Willimantic       Reservoir. A cool spot to go to close to Willimantic Reservoir is Crotch of the River, and not far from Willimantic Reservoir you'll find Mansfield Hollow Lake which is a beautiful lake. Summertime highs at Willimantic Reservoir typically tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Willimantic Reservoir plunge into the 10's.                  This lake is so wonderful. Conantville Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to, and Willimantic Reservoir is not far at all from Norwich-New London. Willimantic Reservoir is a tremendous location to visit for more than one day, Brialee Campground is a tremendous location to camp nearby, and get your heart pumping on the perfect whitewater of Salmon River. Willimantic Reservoir commonly gets a good deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is November while February is typically the driest month. At Willimantic Reservoir Dam in the neighborhood of Willimantic Reservoir there are some interesting things to see. Lakes? Sure, Echo Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful. Nickerson Park Camp Grounds is a tremendous local campground, and a fine place to go to is Mansfield Hollow.
