Williams Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Williams Pond. Nathan Hale Inn And Conference Center is a good location to get some rest, and there's some flowing water close by, Willimantic River is a stream you can pop by while here. This lake is so wonderful. The view of picturesque Clarks Hill near Williams Pond is tremendous; Devils Hopyard State Park is both magnificent and striking.

| | A great nearby hotel is Best Western Regent Inn; at Williams Pond you always meet someone from Norwich-New London. Williams Pond is a wet place that gets lots of rain; through May this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is July. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Williams Pond with night lows in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Williams Pond. If | |

you come at the right time of year, Natchaug River offers some perfect whitewater, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Brewster Pond. This lake is so wonderful. An exciting thing to have
a look at next to Williams Pond is Williams Pond Dam; if you came for an overnight stay Waters Edge Family Campground is a good place to camp. Drift down the rapids of Salmon River in a kayak, and camping is available at Lake williams
Campground. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Chanticlair Public Golf Course is nearby; needless to say, this is a tremendous vicinity for folks who like lakes, Mathiew Pond is a lake in the vicinity.

 | THe fishermen aren't nice here, especially in the Fly fishing area, we caught a lot of heck from them last year. MAde the trip no fun, I won't return. Odetah Campground
 | 10 miles away I am staying at odatah camp ground as I write this thay have wi-fi which is great. This is our first time here and we love it. we will be comming back many more times. We are staying in a nice cabin, but thay have very good camp sites as well. are cabin has a fridge,doubble bed,three twin beds but the (twins are a little narrow). This morning we played horseshoes Yhe seasonal campers were very under standing of are unfamiliarity with the game and had a wonderful time.we then went swimming in the lake. that was great. we then went in the pool and the hottub. hottub was nice and big. we then played shuffleboard and went to a barbeque(exellent ribs)and listen to a very good band. All in one day. can't wait for tomorrow.... |
