Hiking is a popular thing to do around Whitmans Pond; Walkabout Trail is a great local trail; if you came to camp Buck Hill Family Campground is a pleasant location to do that. Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a nice local destination here at Whitmans Pond, and Quaddick State Forest is worth stopping at. So much amusing stuff to do here at Whitmans Pond, too pleasant to be true. Do       stop at Stump Pond right next door to Whitmans Pond, it's a pretty lake, and don't leave Whitmans Pond without first paying a visit to Boiling Spring. While you're here at Whitmans Pond, you could also stop at stunning Quaddick Reservoir, and Econo Lodge Sutton is a pleasant spot to get some rest. Whitmans Pond commonly gets lots of rainfall; through the month of November you get the most rain around here; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so                  wonderful. Places like Quaddick State Park are nice to explore, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Clear and Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Whitmans Pond is close to Whitmans Pond Dam which is a striking place positively worth checking out, and camping at Bowdish Lake Camping Area is always a glorious experience. Good hiking is available along the Border Trail, and getting to Blackmore Brook from Whitmans Pond is easy. Go for a hike on the Munyan Trail; there's whitewater on Quinebaug River for all you adrenaline kick people. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Whitmans Pond. A perfect nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Killingly (Dayville), Ct; you can catch a sight of Benson Mountain from Whitmans Pond. At Whitmans Pond through the summer highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's.
