What a nice lake Whist Pond is. Just can't get enough of Whist Pond. Whist Pond Dam is beautiful and it's close to Whist Pond. John A. Minetto State Park is a fine spot to stretch your legs a bit, and Bantam River is a good whitewater spot close by. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mohawk Mountain while you're here, and obviously, this is a great region for people who like lakes, Hall Meadow Brook Reservoir is a lake in the neighborhood.

| | Why not camp at Macedonia Brook State Park since you're here at Whist Pond, and tremendous hiking is available along the Mattatuck Trail. At Whist Pond through the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Whist Pond are in the 0's. falls throughout August, and the driest month is February. Camping is available at Burr Pond State Park, and it's a splendid idea to visit Drake Pond Brook. If you're a golfer then a glorious close by course is Stonybrook Golf
Course; if you need a site to stay Litchfield Inn is a nice choice. But wait, there's more to do near Whist Pond. Here at Whist Pond you'll probably meet some people from Torrington, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Whist
Pond; Mattatuck Trail is a fine local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Tollgate Hill Inn, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Ski Sundown. This lake is so wonderful. From Whist Pond
you acquire a magnificent vista of Beech Hill, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Farmington River.
