sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Whist Pond Dam is not far at all from Whist Pond; there's whitewater on Bantam River for all you adrenaline kick people. Throughout the summer at Whist Pond highs are regularly in the 80's,
and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Whist Pond. There's delightful hiking along the Mattatuck Trail; get your pulse
rate up on the splendid whitewater of Farmington River. After a long day outdoors Tollgate Hill Inn is a great place to spend a night or two, and the slopes of Mohawk Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. Hiking is a popular
thing to do around Whist Pond; Mattatuck Trail is a pleasant local trail, and if you came to camp Macedonia Brook State Park is a nice place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are wonderful; Migeon Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Whist Pond, and at Whist Pond you can catch a sight of Beech Hill.
