It's always fun to stop by Whist Pond. Summertime at Whist Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Whist Pond temperatures fall to the 0's. Get your heart beating on the glorious whitewater of Farmington River; if you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Torrington.

Lakes are delightful; Migeon Pond is a lake that's close to Whist Pond, and why not a little side journey to Drake Pond Brook. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Whist Pond. two. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Whist Pond you can take a hike along the Mattatuck Trail; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Hatchaloosie Reservoir. The summit of Beech
Hill can be spotted from Whist Pond, and a golf course close by is Stonybrook Golf Course. You can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Ski Sundown. There's so much to do here at Whist Pond that you need to camp here for
a while, Burr Pond State Park is a good location for that. Whist Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Macedonia Brook State Park is a great local campground, and Whist Pond Dam is gorgeous. This lake is so wonderful.
A trip to Whist Pond wouldn’t be complete without a journey to close by John A. Minetto State Park, and there's whitewater on Bantam River for all you adrenaline people. Whist Pond generally gets a large amount of rain; the month
of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Mattatuck Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn & Suites.
