Hiking along the Border Trail is pleasant fun, and there's some flowing water nearby, Attawaugan Brook is a stream you can pop by while you're here. Natchaug River is a nice whitewater spot in the vicinity of Whetstone Brook Reservoir. Between the Rivers Neck is not far from       Whetstone Brook Reservoir at all, and Elmville Dam is picturesque. Stateline Campresort is a good campground nearby, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Walkabout Trail. Hide-a-way Cove Campground is a splendid local campground, and a trip here wouldn’t be complete without a tour to close by Mashamoquet Brook State Park. Whetstone Brook Reservoir regularly gets a lot of rain; November is the wettest month with most rain; February on the                  other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Whetstone Brook Reservoir is not the only spot close by, Dayville Pond is a close by lake, and a splendid location for whitewater paddling is Quinebaug River. If you adore the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Whetstone Brook Reservoir. Whetstone Brook Reservoir is a place with many visitors from Willimantic, and Americas Best Value Inn Brooklyn is a great location to get some rest. Throughout the warm months at Whetstone Brook Reservoir temperatures are frequently in the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are typically in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Whetstone Brook Reservoir. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. You could also take a look at Fivemile Pond while you're here at Whetstone Brook Reservoir; it's close by; the peak of Cook Hill can be spotted from Whetstone Brook Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.
