If you like lakes and you're in this part of Connecticut you can check out West Side Pond. Tyler Lake Dam is scenic and it's in close proximity to West Side Pond; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Woodbury. Hiking is a popular thing to do around West Side Pond; Elbow Trail is a splendid local trail, and paddling on Bantam River is so much fun. Good hiking is available along the Mattatuck Trail, and drift down the rapids of Housatonic

During the wintertime highs are typically in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at West Side Pond. West Side Pond is a wet location that gets a good deal of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. | |

Stonybrook Golf Course is a pleasant golf course nearby, and after a long day outdoors Tollgate Hill Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two. But wait, there's more to do close to West Side Pond. When you're here at West Side
Pond it's always fun to go to Mohawk Mountain State Park, and if you came for an overnight stay Hemlock Hill Camp Resort and Co-operative is a pleasant site to camp. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at West Side Pond,
you could also visit pretty Tyler Lake, and swamps are out of the ordinary sites and Balsam Fir Swamp near West Side Pond is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. Sucker Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth
checking out; splendid skiing awaits you at Mohawk Mountain. If you need a place to stay Blackberry River Inn is a nice choice, and why not camp at Valley In The Pines Campground if you're here at West Side Pond. This place, West
Side Pond, it definitely has so much outdoors fun stuff. During your journey to West Side Pond you'll meet some folks from Torrington for sure, and Bartholomew Hill is gorgeous and can be distinguished from here. There's pleasant
hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail; Cunningham Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at.
