Beautiful West Side Pond has much to offer visitors. If you're here at West Side Pond, you could stop by Sucker Brook, and stop at close by Balsam Fir Swamp. West Side Pond frequently gets a great deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. Don't leave West Side Pond without first going for a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and why not

at Tyler Lake Dam if you're here; West Side Pond is a wonderful place to camp, Valley In The Pines Campground is a wonderful place. If only every place had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great earth it would be. Tollgate
Hill Inn is a glorious place to get some rest, and a glorious site for whitewater paddling is Housatonic River. Good hiking is available along the Elbow Trail. Summertime at West Side Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's
with overnight lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows at West Side Pond through the winter generally drop into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Mohawk Campground is a magnificent
campground here; a magnificent nearby hotel is Litchfield Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Mohawk Mountain has delightful slopes and a friendly staff, and you're sure to come across some great people from Torrington here. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Bantam River; you can go for a hike on the Mattatuck Trail.
