It's always fun to stop by West Branch Reservoir. Take a little spree to Howells Brook while you're here at West Branch Reservoir; if you need a spot to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a good choice. You'll meet a lot of people from Torrington here, and good hiking is available along the County Road Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything West Branch Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Austin Hawes Campground, and

| | Colebrook River Lake is a glorious lake close by. Hiking is a popular thing to do around West Branch Reservoir; Richard Trail is a magnificent local trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Sundown is rather near. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Farmington River. There's so much to do here at West Branch Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, White Pines Campground is a pleasant site for that. tremendous whitewater spots on Still River; why not take a refreshing hike along the Link Trail. At West Branch Reservoir through the summer highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime
comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at West Branch Reservoir. At West Branch Reservoir you can catch a sight of Beecher Hill, and the skiing at Otis Ridge is great. Be careful coming to West Branch
Reservoir, you might not ever want to return home again. Places like Tolland State Forest are glorious to stop by, and a glorious nearby hotel is Days Inn - Torrington. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come
on down to West Branch Reservoir. Goodwin Dam has great water scenery and it's in the vicinity of West Branch Reservoir, and lakes are such serene places, why not pop by Colebrook River Lake. West Branch Reservoir sees pretty high
levels of precipitation; most of the rain falls all through August, and January meanwhile is the driest month.
