Camping at Buck's Rock Camp is always a nice experience, and Wellgoto Pond is right by the Mattatuck Trail. Hiking along the Regicides Trail is great fun. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Mountain Workshop is a great place to do that, and lots of folks from Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk come here.       Through the long summer days at Wellgoto Pond temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the winter highs are commonly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Wellgoto Pond. You simply must love Wellgoto Pond. From Wellgoto Pond you obtain a great panorama of High Rock Hill, and you can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Woodbury. A glorious close by hotel is Heritage                  Hotel, and if you come at the right time of year, Shepaug River offers some nice whitewater. You'll come across a gorgeous lake called Curtis Pond near Wellgoto Pond; get yourself into a kayak and hit East Aspetuck River. A great deal of precipitation falls at Wellgoto Pond; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here; January on the other hand is the driest. Swamps don’t sound that glorious but Pine Swamp near Wellgoto Pond is pretty glorious, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Cold Spring Brook. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. A charming lake like Warner Pond in close proximity to Wellgoto Pond is a wonderful spot to pop by, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Gainfield Farms Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful.
