There's fine hiking along the Tunxis Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Welles Pond has to offer, you can camp at Camp Eagle Feather. You can take a little tour to Talcott Reservoir Diversion Dike while you're here at Welles Pond, and Newton Brainard Forest is a glorious local forest. This lake is so wonderful. Avon Mountain is pretty and can be spotted from Welles Pond, and dropping by Talcott Mountain State Park is a great thing to do. Welles Pond, absolutely mind-boggling. Get dripping wet paddling on Farmington River - Collinsville, and golf can be played at Blue Fox Run Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Avon Old Farms, and
swamps like Hart Meadow next to Welles Pond make for magnificent places to have a look at. Very gorgeous scenery and good skiing is what you get at Mount Southington. There's so much to do here at Welles Pond that you need to camp
here for a while, Golden Acres Campground is a nice place for that. During the warmest time of the year at Welles Pond highs are usually in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime
come with highs in the 30's; nighttime lows during the wintertime for Welles Pond tend to be in the 10's. Welles Pond generally gets a large amount of rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while February
is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Yep, outdoors amusing things to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Welles Pond. Don't leave Welles Pond without first going for a hike along the Mattabesset Trail; there are plenty of people from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford here.
