Wauregan Pond is so good!       If you need a location to stay Americas Best Value Inn Brooklyn is a great choice; if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Quinebaug River. Wauregan Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; November is the wettest month with most rain while February is typically the driest month. If the weather is great here at Wauregan Pond, you can go for a hike along the Walkabout Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Mashamuquet                  Brook Campground is a good place to camp. A good close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites PLAINFIELD, and playing golf is lots of fun at Brooklyn Golf Course. Lakes are great; Quinebaug Pond is a lake that's right next door to Wauregan Pond, and hiking along the Border Trail is delightful fun. You get a good vista of Allen Hill from Wauregan Pond, and going for a hike along the Narragansett Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful.
