     An exciting thing to check out in close proximity to Watertown Reservoir is Bronson E Lockwood Dam; if you're dropping by from Torrington, you won't be the only one. At Watertown Reservoir all through the summertime highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while Watertown Reservoir overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. There's whitewater on Bantam  
   River for all you adrenaline people. There's so much to do here at Watertown Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Branchbrook Campground is a fine location for that. Black Rock State Park is worth visiting if you're at Watertown Reservoir, and if you want to hit the beach, Litchfield Town Beach is close by.
If only every location had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great earth it would be. Why not take a refreshing hike along the
 
               Mattatuck Trail; the Mattatuck Trail offers hiking at its best. Take a hike on the Naugatuck Trail. Man, is there a load of amusing things to do in the neighborhood of Watertown Reservoir. If you came to camp Looking Glass Hill Campgrounds is a great site to do that, of course you could also explore Bronson E Rockwell Reservation while you're here; it's not far at all.
Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Shepaug River; a day on the slopes of Woodbury is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Mohawk Mountain is glorious; you ought to without doubt have a look at lovely Morris Town Beach if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Tollgate Hill Inn is a brilliant place to spend a night or two, and a lake close by is Bronson E Lockwood Reservoir.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Watertown Reservoir a wet location; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest of the months is February. If you need a site to stay Crowne Plaza Hotel SOUTHBURY is a glorious choice; the summit of Magnolia Hill can be made out from Watertown Reservoir.
