Why not stop by Wassel Reservoir if you're passing through these parts. Swamps don’t sound that magnificent but Hog Swamp in close proximity to Wassel Reservoir is reasonably magnificent; if you've had enough of Wassel Reservoir, Hart Pond is close by. Stay the night at Camp Eagle Feather, and Wharton Brook State Park is a great spot to stretch your legs a bit. to stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Wassel Reservoir. You can observe Ragged Mountain from Wassel Reservoir; dry warm beds await you at Fairfield Inn & Suites Plainville. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all
the fun stuff at Wassel Reservoir. Good hiking is available along the Mattabesset Trail, and whitewater paddling is good on Farmington River - Collinsville. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Wassel Reservoir you'll possibly meet
some people from New Haven-Milford; there's great hiking along the Tunxis Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Wassel Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Gentile's Camp Ground; not far from Wassel Reservoir
you get some great water scenery at Wasel Reservoir Dam. Penny Brook is near Wassel Reservoir and is always a diversion to have a look at, and the Metacomet Trail offers hiking at its best. All through the warm months here at Wassel
Reservoir, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's, and the overnight is a tad cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while Wassel Reservoir nighttime low temperatures during the
wintertime are in the 10's. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Hawk's Landing Country Club, and Dossin Park Beach is a striking beach to stop by.
