     Washining Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Elbow Trail is always a glorious adventure, and when you're here it's always fun to check out Mt. Washington State Forest. If you get bored of Washining Lake, you could also stop at nearby Twin Lakes; from Washining Lake you acquire a great view of Babes Hill. The yearly rain here at Washining Lake is about average; the month of May is the wettest with most of the  
   rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Throughout the months of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Washining Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are commonly in the 30's; nighttime lows at Washining Lake through the wintertime mostly plunge into the 10's. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Washining Lake. The great people of Torrington
 
               like to hang out close by. Housatonic River is a good whitewater spot in close proximity to Washining Lake; Washining Lake is not the only spot nearby, Washinee Lake is a nearby lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Lone Oak Camp Sites is a perfect campground nearby, and Mohawk Mountain is a great local ski area. There are magnificent places to explore along the Indian Trail, and a round of golf at nearby Canaan Country Club is a great way to kill some time. Great Barrington Days Inn is a splendid place to get some rest; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Butternut is rather near.
Be careful coming to Washining Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Housatonic River, and Washining Lake is a brilliant spot to visit for more than one day, Camp Half Moon is a brilliant spot to camp nearby. Go for a hike on the Northrop Trail; after a long day outdoors Chambery Inn is a good location to spend a night or two.
