After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Killingly (Dayville), Ct is a great site to spend a night or two, as expected you could also have a look at Taft Pond if you're  
   here; it's not far at all. For the period of the summertime months at Wappaquasset Pond highs are frequently in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Wappaquasset Pond nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's.
This spot is so good, just look at all the cool things to do right next door to Wappaquasset Pond. The Inn at Woodstock Hill is
 
               a glorious spot to get some rest, and the peak of Bald Hill can be distinguished from Wappaquasset Pond. So many amusing things to do at Wappaquasset Pond, so little time. Don't leave Wappaquasset Pond without visiting Mashamoquet Brook State Park; Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a great local destination. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Harrisville Golf Course is close by; a lake close by is Abbott Pond.
Wappaquasset Pond is right by the Munyan Trail. Wappaquasset Pond is a wet place that gets a large amount of precipitation; all through November this area sees the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. The Border Trail offers hiking at its best, and paddling on Quinebaug River is so much fun.
Get dripping wet paddling on Natchaug River; you don’t have to go far from Wappaquasset Pond to see the water at Wappaquasset Pond Dam. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Wappaquasset Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Wolf Den Campground is a wonderful site for that, and do take a hike on the Walkabout Trail. While you're here at Wappaquasset Pond you will meet lots of folks from close by Willimantic, and you can hit the beach if you want, Woodstock Town Beach is practically right here.
