There's whitewater on Hammonasset River for all you adrenaline rush seekers; do visit Guilford Lake, it's a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Hammonasset Beach State Park is a pleasant place to do that. You have to definitely check out delightful Jacobs Public Beach since you're here at Valley Shores Pond South; Valley Shores Pond South is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Riverdale Camp Sites is a nice local campground.
