This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Roaring Brook River, and       dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Guilford. Jacobs Public Beach is in close proximity to Valley Shores Pond North and is a beautiful beach to visit, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Ivy Swamp is right close by. Head up to Powder Ridge and strap some skis to your feet; going for a hike along the Washington Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful.
