Yeah, come here to Upper Pond for a magnificent time. If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Farmington River - Collinsville, and why not stop by Upper Pond Dam while you're here. Farmington River - Riverton has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Holt Hill can       be distinguished from Upper Pond; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Middle Pond. Good hiking is available along the Mattatuck Trail, and there's some flowing water nearby, Marsh Brook is a stream you can check out during your stay. There's so much to do here at Upper Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Black Rock State Park is a nice location for that; dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Waterbury Downtown.                  This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting Upper Pond from New Haven-Milford, you won't be the only one, and Black Rock State Park is both perfect and pretty. Near Upper Pond you come across a golf course called Pequabuck Golf Club of Bristol, and a day on the slopes of Ski Sundown is just what you need. Americas Best Value Inn and Suites/Wolcott is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and don't leave Upper Pond without first going for a hike along the Tunxis Trail. This place, Upper Pond, it truly has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. The snow is splendid at Mount Southington. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Upper Pond has to offer, you can camp at Gentile's Camp Ground. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Upper Pond get into the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Upper Pond drop into the 10's.
