A trip to The Upper Lagoon wouldn’t be complete without a journey to close by Haley Farm State Park, and Horseshoe Reef is a splendid place to spend some time. If you're looking for a beach near The Upper Lagoon, we recommend Groton Long Point Main Beach, and a magnificent close by hotel is Marriott Mystic Hotel And Spa. The Upper Lagoon is fine enough to spend more than a day       at, Highland Orchards Resort Park is a fine local campground, and a round of golf at nearby Birch Plain Golf Course & Driving Range is a pleasant way to kill some time. Lots of people from Norwich-New London come to The Upper Lagoon, and The Lower Lagoon is a great lake nearby. All through the warmest time of the year at The Upper Lagoon temperatures are typically in the 80's while night lows are usually in the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are                  ordinarily in the 30's with temperatures at The Upper Lagoon dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. The Upper Lagoon gets a great deal of water; most of the rain falls all through November; June meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Why not stop by close by Fishtown Brook since you're here at The Upper Lagoon, and there are tremendous spots to look at along the Narragansett Trail. What a site this is for outdoors people. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff next to The Upper Lagoon. Fort Hill is pretty and can be made out from The Upper Lagoon. There's so much to do here at The Upper Lagoon that you need to camp here for a while, Seaport Campground is a nice place for that.
