    The beauty of Unionville Reservoir is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Unionville Reservoir; Metacomet Trail is a delightful local trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Farmington River - Collinsville. You absolutely ought to go to Stratton Brook State Park while you're here at Unionville Reservoir, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Mount Southington.

   await you at Centennial Inn Suites; if the weather is delightful, you obtain a good vista of Huckleberry Hill from Unionville Reservoir. Unionville Reservoir sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is generally June, that's the one that rains the most; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Bunnell Brook is a stream you can stop at while here; a round of golf at nearby Tunxis  
               Plantation Country Club is a perfect way to kill some time.
There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Unionville Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Residence Inn By Marriott Hartford Avon is a perfect place to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Unionville Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Austin Hawes Campground is a perfect place for that. Unionville Reservoir is right by the Mattatuck Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Farmington River - Riverton offers some pleasant whitewater. Any time is a tremendous time at Unionville Reservoir if you adore the outdoors. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Unionville Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at American Legion State Forest; Massacoe Spring is an inspiring place to stop at while you're here.
You could also stop at Unionville Upper Reservoir since you're here at Unionville Reservoir; it's close by, and there are plenty of people from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford here. The Tunxis Trail offers hiking at its best; if you've had enough of Unionville Reservoir, Farmington River Reservoir is close by. All through the summer months at Unionville Reservoir temperatures are generally in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Unionville Reservoir are in the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. Really nice skiing awaits you at Ski Sundown, and Unionville Reservoir Upper Dam is a lovely site, absolutely worth stopping at.
