Lakes? Sure, Washining Lake is close by; Twin Lakes is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Lone Oak Camp Sites is a glorious local campground. This lake is so wonderful. At Twin Lakes you can observe Babes Hill, and get wet paddling on Housatonic River. A normal amount of rain falls here at       Twin Lakes; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. On a magnificent day at Twin Lakes you can take a hike along the Elbow Trail, and golf can be played at Canaan Country Club. All the outdoors cool things close to Twin Lakes will keep you coming back repeatedly. You can never get enough of the glorious skiing at Mohawk Mountain, and dry warm                  beds await you at Sharon Motor Lodge. At Twin Lakes you always meet someone from Torrington. Going for a hike on the Northrop Trail is always a good adventure; if you need a place to stay Days Inn Great Barrington is a perfect choice. Getting to Ball Brook from Twin Lakes is trouble-free; skiing at Ski Butternut is one of those things you just have to do. There is a splendid hiking trail next to Twin Lakes called the Indian Trail; Mt. Washington State Forest is both great and beautiful. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Twin Lakes. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Twin Lakes tend to be in the 10's.
