In Connecticut there are many beautiful lakes, Turtle Pond is one of them. There's so much to do here at Turtle Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain Workshop is a brilliant place for that; Norwalk River is a nice whitewater spot nearby. Pumping Station Swamp is a swamp in the vicinity of Turtle Pond, and Mopus Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to. This lake is so wonderful. is so wonderful. Turtle Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Kettletown State Park is a great local campground, and in the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on East Aspetuck
River. Turtle Pond is not far at all from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown; on a wonderful day you get a good view of Ned Mountain from Turtle Pond. A great deal of rain falls at Turtle Pond; of all the months in a year May is the
one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. Yeah, come here to Turtle Pond for a magnificent time. Turtle Pond is not the only place close by, Mamanasco Lake is a close by lake, and pleasant skiing awaits
you at Thunder Ridge. The warmest time of the year at Turtle Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Turtle Pond plunge into the 10's.
