Do stop by Tucker Pond while you're in this part of Connecticut. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Natchaug River offers some splendid whitewater, and don't miss out on a trip to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor since you're here. Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not go to Mansure Pond in close proximity to Tucker Pond, and it's a fine idea to have a look at Ames Brook. While you're here at Tucker

| | Pond you will meet lots of people from close by Willimantic, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Quinebaug River. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Tucker Pond. A spree to Mansfield Hollow State Park when you're here at Tucker Pond is never a bad idea; dry warm beds await you at Nathan Hale Inn And Conference Center. a wonderful lake nearby. For the period of the summer months at Tucker Pond highs are commonly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 30's with winter lows
in the 10's overnight here at Tucker Pond. Tucker Pond commonly gets much rain; the wettest month of the year is generally November, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Regent Inn is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and a pleasant site to camp here at Tucker Pond is Highland Camp Ground. The scenery at Mansure Pond Dam right next door to Tucker Pond is pretty, and camping at Nickerson Park Camp Grounds is always a good experience.
