    Tucker Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. A good site to camp here at Tucker Pond is Highland Camp Ground; needless to say Ames Brook flows through this neighborhood. Through the months of summer highs here at Tucker Pond reach the 70's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Tucker Pond dipping down into the 10's throughout winter  
   nights. This is a popular site for people from Willimantic. Lakes? Sure, Halls Pond is close at hand.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Tucker Pond a wet site; November is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Tucker Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. Looking for a good tour? Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is quite near Tucker
 
               Pond; camping at Nickerson Park Camp Grounds is always a good experience. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Natchaug River, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Regent Inn is a brilliant place to spend a night or two.
If you come at the right time of year, Quinebaug River offers some great whitewater, and at Mansure Pond Dam in close proximity to Tucker Pond there are some attention-grabbing things to see. You get a splendid view of Beaver Hill from Tucker Pond, and Mansfield Hollow State Park is both good and pretty. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Nathan Hale Inn And Conference Center.
