Lakes? Sure, Mansure Pond is around here, and if you came to camp Nickerson Park Camp Grounds is a nice spot to do that. The high level of rain makes Tucker Pond a pretty wet place; most of the rain falls through November while February is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Regent Inn is a pleasant site to spend a night or two, and why not stop by Mansure Pond Dam since you're here. Summertime highs at

| | Tucker Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Tucker Pond temperatures sink to the 10's. Willimantic here at Tucker Pond; a journey to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is worthwhile. Why not explore close by Ames Brook if you're here at Tucker Pond; camping at Highland Camp Ground is
always a brilliant experience. Just can't get enough of Tucker Pond. Not far from Tucker Pond, you'll stumble on Lynch Pond which is a beautiful lake, and Beaver Hill is wonderful and can be observed from here. You can run the rapids
of Quinebaug River in the vicinity of Tucker Pond, and Mansfield Hollow State Park is a beautiful site any time of year.
