     Skiing at Blandford is one of those things you just must do, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Trout Pond; Link Trail is a brilliant local trail. Trout Pond is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Southwick Acres Campground is a fine place to camp nearby; great hiking is available along the Metacomet Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Simsbury 1820 House is a wonderful site to spend a night or two; there's good hiking  
   along the County Road Trail. So many cool things to do here at Trout Pond, too magnificent to be true. When you're here at Trout Pond it's always fun to stop at Penwood State Park; Golden Acres Campground is a splendid campground nearby.
A range like the Barndoor Hills here at Trout Pond is always scenic, and while you're here and you like golf, you can go to Simsbury Farms Golf Course. Bissell Brook is a delightful stream that is worth checking out, obviously
 
               you could also pop by Three Corner Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Dutch Iris Inn, The is a great place to get some rest, and drift down the rapids of Farmington River in a kayak.
This lake is so wonderful. Beaches are fine; and Babbs Beach next to Trout Pond is no exception. Throughout the summertime months at Trout Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. During the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Trout Pond are in the 0's. Yeah, come here to Trout Pond for a tremendous time. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Little River, and at Trout Pond you can distinguish Barndoor Hills.
Trout Pond is a location with many visitors from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford, and Lake Basile Dam is a scenic spot. Trout Pond gets lots of water; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most; January meanwhile is the driest month. Nearby lakes? Sure, Spring Pond is near Trout Pond; pretty scenery and magnificent skiing is what you obtain at Ski Sundown.
