paradise. A day on the slopes of Ski Sundown is just what you need, and the cheerful people of Torrington like to hang out nearby. A trip to Burr Pond State Park when you're here at Travis Pond is never a bad idea; a perfect swamp
in the neighborhood of Travis Pond is Cedar Swamp. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Days Inn - Torrington is a nice place to spend a night or two; the trees of Paugnut State Forest are a good source of shade
on hot summer days. Quality Inn & Suites is a splendid place to get some rest, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Tunxis Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Mohawk Mountain is next
to Travis Pond. Travis Pond is a great location to visit for more than one day, Laurel Crest Campground is a great location to camp nearby, and there's always Burr Pond Dam to take a look at near Travis Pond. Travis Pond is a
rather wet place usually with much rain; during August this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Have a great hiking adventure along the Mattatuck Trail; whitewater paddling is glorious on Sandy Brook River.
