If you are in Hartford county it's always a good idea to stop by Talcott Reservoir. If you came to camp Golden Acres Campground is a good place to do that; don't leave without dropping by Talcott Mountain State Park. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Powder Ridge and strap some skis to your feet, and nearby you locate the Mattabesset Trail which is a great hiking trail.

| | to spend a night or two, and a wonderful swamp close to Talcott Reservoir is Hart Meadow. You can run the rapids of Farmington River close to Talcott Reservoir; a tremendous spot for whitewater paddling is Farmington River - Collinsville. This lake is so wonderful. There is a glorious hiking trail near Talcott Reservoir called the Metacomet Trail. There's so much to do here at Talcott Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Eagle Feather is a great spot | |

This place is peerless, just look at all the fun stuff to do near Talcott Reservoir. If you need a place to stay Homewood Suites Farmington is a pleasant choice; a round of golf at nearby Buena Vista Golf Course is a
wonderful way to kill some time. Summertime highs at Talcott Reservoir frequently tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows during the winter
for Talcott Reservoir tend to be in the 10's. Talcott Reservoir is a relatively wet place usually with lots of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most while February is the
month with the least amount of precipitation.
While you're here at Talcott Reservoir, you could also have a look at gorgeous Lake Erie; Mount Southington is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. Do check out Hartford Reservoir
Number 1 next to Talcott Reservoir, it's a striking lake, and Newton Brainard Forest is a forest that you can go to. Talcott Reservoir Main Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out; you can spot Avon Mountain from Talcott
Reservoir.
