Now, you may feel that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Talcott Reservoir. Talcott Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Golden Acres Campground is a good local campground; Talcott       Mountain State Park is worth taking a look at. A lake nearby is Hartford Reservoir Number 6, and why not have a look at a swamp like Hart Meadow since you're here at Talcott Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Talcott Reservoir. There's always Talcott Reservoir Diversion Dike to check out in close proximity to Talcott Reservoir, and get soaked paddling on Farmington River - Collinsville. A large amount                  of precipitation falls at Talcott Reservoir; during May this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. There's nice hiking along the Tunxis Trail, and you're sure to bump into some wonderful people from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford here. If you came to camp Camp Eagle Feather is a delightful location to do that; don't leave Talcott Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Metacomet Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Farmington River is so much fun, and a good close by hotel is Homewood Suites by Hilton HartfordFarmington. High temperatures at Talcott Reservoir through the summertime months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Talcott Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. You can observe Avon Mountain from Talcott Reservoir, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Mount Southington.
