Talcott Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. Homewood Suites Farmington is a wonderful site to get some rest; Powder Ridge has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Talcott Mountain State Park is a brilliant place to go if you're at Talcott Reservoir, and Buena Vista Golf Course is a great golf course close by. From Talcott Reservoir you get a good panorama of Avon Mountain, and a gorgeous lake like Hartford Reservoir Number 1 is a pleasant

Going for a hike along the Metacomet Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and get your heart beating on the perfect whitewater of Farmington River - Collinsville. Talcott Reservoir is a good site to visit for more than one day, Camp Eagle Feather is a good site
to camp nearby, and a forest nearby is Newton Brainard Forest. Talcott Reservoir gets lots of water; May is the month that gets the most rain while February is frequently the driest month. For the duration of the long summer days
at Talcott Reservoir temperatures are regularly in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Talcott Reservoir temperatures fall to the
10's.
Hart Meadow is a swamp close to Talcott Reservoir, and if you need a location to stay Avon Old Farms is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. Just can't get enough of Talcott Reservoir. You'll need more than a day to
look at everything Talcott Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Golden Acres Campground, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can pop by Talcott Reservoir Diversion Dike.
There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mount Southington, and the Tunxis Trail is a great hiking trail nearby.
