The skiing at Mount Southington is magnificent, and not far from Sylvan Lake you'll come across Rifle Range Pond which is a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Branchbrook Campground since you're here at Sylvan Lake; if you need a site to stay Courtyard By Marriott Waterbury is a great choice. The high level of rain makes Sylvan Lake a rather wet place; June is when you get the most rain here; the driest       month of the year is February. So much cool stuff to do at Sylvan Lake, so little time. Going for a hike on the Naugatuck Trail is always a great adventure, and if you came for an overnight stay Black Rock State Park is a good place to camp. Near Sylvan Lake you locate the Mattatuck Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Woodbury is reasonably near. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are fine; Pin Shop Pond is a lake that's                  in the vicinity of Sylvan Lake; Pin Shop Pond Dam is an interesting thing to check out. A great nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Waterbury Ct, and get wet paddling on Bantam River. This place is unbeatable, just explore all the exciting things to do close to Sylvan Lake. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Farmington River - Collinsville, and while you're here and you like golf, you can take a look at Pequabuck Golf Club of Bristol. Summertime highs at Sylvan Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are commonly in the 20's while Sylvan Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. There's some flowing water close by, Clough Brook is a stream you can go to while here; a trip to Black Rock State Park is a pleasant idea.
