Take a hike on the Naugatuck Trail; Hampton Inn Waterbury is a splendid place to get some rest. Yeah, come here to Sylvan Lake for a delightful time. For you golfers we recommend nearby Pequabuck Golf Club of Bristol, and Black Rock State Park is a picturesque place any time of year. Black Rock State Park is a perfect campground nearby, and Sylvan       Lake is not the only place nearby, Rifle Range Pond is a nearby lake. Sylvan Lake is a location with many visitors from New Haven-Milford, and skiing at Woodbury is one of those things you just have to do. The high level of rainfall makes Sylvan Lake a relatively wet location; the wettest month of the year is regularly June, that's the one that rains the most while February is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Pin Shop Pond,                  and Farmington River - Collinsville has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Do go to Pin Shop Pond Dam while you're here at Sylvan Lake, and splendid skiing awaits you at Mount Southington. Throughout the summertime months here at Sylvan Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's with night lows in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are commonly in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Sylvan Lake temperatures drop to the 10's. Paddling on Bantam River is so much fun, and Branchbrook Campground is a delightful local campground. This place, Sylvan Lake, it absolutely has so much outdoors entertaining stuff.
