Many people like to go to Sylvan Lake. While you're here at Sylvan Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by New Haven-Milford, and nearby you hit upon the Naugatuck Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Clough Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit, and Black Rock State Park is both great and picturesque. Summertime highs at Sylvan Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures

| | are in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Sylvan Lake. What a place this is for outdoors folks. There is a pleasant hiking trail close to Sylvan Lake called the Mattatuck Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Branchbrook Campground is a great location to camp. There's whitewater on Farmington River - Collinsville for all you adrenaline kick people, and a nice nearby hotel is Holiday | |

Inn Express Waterbury Ct. This lake is so wonderful. Do stop at Echo Lake right next door to Sylvan Lake, it's a wonderful lake, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Pequabuck Golf Club of Bristol. Nichols Hill is simple to
spot from Sylvan Lake, and if you're here, you could also stop by charming Hancock Brook Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff near Sylvan Lake. You can run the rapids of Bantam River close to Sylvan Lake, and Black
Rock State Park is a tremendous local campground. If you need a location to stay Courtyard By Marriott Waterbury is a perfect choice, and skiing at Mount Southington is one of those things you just must do. All the water falling
down from the sky makes Sylvan Lake a wet site; most of the rain falls throughout June while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's always Pin Shop Pond Dam to stop at near Sylvan Lake, and beautiful scenery and good skiing is what you acquire at Woodbury.
