This lake is so wonderful. Swede Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Little City Campground is a glorious local campground, and when you're here it's always fun to have a look at Wadsworth Falls State Park. Swede Pond gets a large amount of water; May is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile       is the driest month. Belcher Brook is a delightful local stream; a wonderful lake like Gills Pond is a pleasant location to stop by. Why not explore Silver Lake Dam if you're here, and there's nice hiking along the Washington Trail. There's so much to do here at Swede Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Eagle Feather is a great location for that, and great hiking is available along the Mattabesset Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If                  you go for the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Swede Pond. Swede Pond is not far at all from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford, and Best Western New England Inn & Suites is a great place to get some rest. At Swede Pond all through the warm months highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Swede Pond. The peak of Lamentation Mountain can be seen from Swede Pond, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Swede Pond; Metacomet Trail is a pleasant local trail. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mount Southington while you're here, and playing golf is lots of fun at Pistol Creek Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Farmington River - Collinsville for all you adrenaline rush seekers; you'll discover a charming lake called Norton Pond. This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun.
