Hopeville Pond State Park is a wonderful site; brilliant water scenery is available at Hell Hollow Pond Dam in the vicinity of Stanton Pond. Hell Hollow Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to, and if you came for an overnight stay River Bend Campground and Canoe Sales is a great site to camp. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll love Stanton Pond. Natchaug River is a good whitewater spot in close proximity to Stanton Pond, and after a long day

| | outdoors Americas Best Value Inn Brooklyn is a nice place to spend a night or two. So much exciting stuff to do here at Stanton Pond, too great to be true. If you get bored of Stanton Pond, you could also have a look at close by Douglas Pond, and Natures Campsites is a pleasant campground nearby. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Stanton Pond while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, | |

and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Stanton Pond plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. A great site for whitewater paddling right next door to Stanton Pond is Quinebaug River, and going for a hike
on the Narragansett Trail is always a magnificent adventure. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites PLAINFIELD; you can go for a hike on the Narragansett Trail. During your tour
to Stanton Pond you'll meet some folks from Willimantic for sure, and a good swamp in close proximity to Stanton Pond is Cedar Swamp. Near Stanton Pond you hit upon great spots like Hell Hollow, and the top of Bare Hill is easily
distinguished from Stanton Pond. A tour to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is recommended, and don't leave Stanton Pond without first going for a hike along the Border Trail. Stanton Pond is a relatively
wet place usually with a good deal of rain; November is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
