    Do stop by Springdale Pond while you're in this part of Connecticut. Looking for some flowing water? Try Lieutenant River, and Gilbralter Rocks is something you shouldn't miss since you're here. You truly should fancy Springdale Pond. At Springdale Pond you can see Ferry Hill; Obed Heights Reservoir Dam is a beautiful place, definitely worth a visit. This lake is so wonderful. Since you're here at Springdale Pond why not go to Calves Island Bar; a delightful close  
   by hotel is Executive Inn and Suites Old Saybrook.
Wolf's Den Family Campground is a fine local campground; you can spend the day on the beach at Poverty Island Beach. A large amount of precipitation falls at Springdale Pond; the month with most of the rain is November; the driest month is February. Ayers Point is not far from Springdale Pond at all.
This lake is so wonderful. A day at gorgeous Harveys Beach near Springdale Pond is a nice thing to
 
               do, and Devil's Hopyard State Park is a wonderful campground nearby. A lake nearby is Cranberry Pond; a round of golf at nearby Hillside Links Golf Course is a pleasant way to kill some time. Get dripping wet paddling on Salmon River; Obed Heights Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could pop by.
Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are truly plentiful here at Springdale Pond. Mill Meadows is an out of the ordinary swamp in the neighborhood of Springdale Pond, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Hammonasset River. Through the summertime, highs commonly are in the 80's at Springdale Pond. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Springdale Pond are in the 10's. I am staying at odatah camp ground as I write this thay have wi-fi which is great. This is our first time here and we love it. we will be comming back many more times. We are staying in a nice cabin, but thay have very good camp sites as well. are cabin has a fridge,doubble bed,three twin beds but the (twins are a little narrow). This morning we played horseshoes Yhe seasonal campers were very under standing of are unfamiliarity with the game and had a wonderful time.we then went swimming in the lake. that was great. we then went in the pool and the hottub. hottub was nice and big. we then played shuffleboard and went to a barbeque(exellent ribs)and listen to a very good band. All in one day. can't wait for tomorrow....
