Summer brings highs in the 80's to Spring Lake; the overnight is somewhat colder of course, generally in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 30's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Spring Lake sink into the 10's. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. A cool spot to pop by in close proximity to Spring Lake is The Kissing Rocks, and one of the       best things about this place is its proximity to Osprey Beach. This lake is so wonderful. People from Norwich-New London love to come to Spring Lake; a spree to Coits Cove is always a great idea. Beaches are pleasant; and Green Harbor Beach in close proximity to Spring Lake is no exception, and Perry Pond is a pleasant lake close by. After a long day outdoors Red Roof Inn New London is a great place to spend a night or two; Brandegee Lake Dam has great water                  scenery. There's so much to do here at Spring Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Niantic By The Atlantic is a pleasant place for that, and if the weather is beautiful, you get a wonderful panorama of Jacobs Rock from Spring Lake. Spring Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Do set aside some time for Sanctuary Basin if you're here at Spring Lake; stopping by Harkness Memorial State Park is a good thing to do. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do in the vicinity of Spring Lake. Lakes are such calm places, why not pop by Brandegee Lake close to Spring Lake, and going for a hike on the Narragansett Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Springhill Suites By Marriott Waterford/Mystic is a splendid site to get some rest, and you can stay the night at Laurel-lock Campgrounds.
