 | 12 miles away I took my two sons here for a week this summer and it was awesome!! We went in the middle of the summer and the weather was pretty good.? We had a couple good rainstorms at night but it always cleared up for the day.? My kids loved swimming in the pool and the river.? The river was so warm and if you went out to the big rocks the water was rough and felt like a hot tub!!? My sons (7 and 4&1/2)had a blast riding their scooters all over the campgrounds with the other kids.? They spent most of their time trying to catch frogs and tadpoles and playing at the playground.? We went to the ceramic shop and painted a keepsake for home.? We will definately be going back next year.? My kids want to go for two weeks this time but we will see.... |

 | 15 miles away ...f the night. If it was a little more light out I would have packed up with no problem at all, but it was too dark. So he told me, all this time his yelling at the top of his lungs that in the ''morning'' he wanted us out of here. So me and my wife got up in the morning around 8:30/9 and went to the restrooms to wash up, my 15yr old came running up to us and said that the ranger was at our site. So we rushed over to see what was going on. He jumpeds out of his truck and said, I thought I told you to be out of here at 8:30. We looked at each other with even more shock and I said you did not say a time, you said in the morning. We knew he just wanted to get us angry, so he can make an arrest. He asked for my wife's ID and proceeded to write her a $75 ticket for trespassing. Then he told us that we didn't have to leave just my wife. I guess that's how they do it where he was from. To us you kick my wife out you kick everyone out. So we started to pack our things.
I have been camping for many years and a few time at Hopeville and never had this happen to us. I will never go to Hop... |
