Why not take a refreshing hike along the Link Trail; glide down the rapids of Roaring Brook River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Southwick Acres Campground, and Spring Dam Pond is next to Penwood State Park which is a stunning place. Spring Dam Pond gets much water; May is the wettest month with most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. Take a side tour to Phelps Brook, and Spring Dam Pond is not far at all from Hartford-West

But wait, there's more to do right next door to Spring Dam Pond. Doubletree Hotel Bradley International Airport is a magnificent place to get some rest; get dripping wet paddling on Farmington River. Hathaway Hollow is a great place to discover, and a great close by hotel is Hampton Inn HartfordAirport CT. All through the summertime months highs here at Spring Dam
Pond reach the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Spring Dam Pond temperatures descend
to the 0's. Powder Ridge has great slopes and a friendly staff.
Just can't get enough of Spring Dam Pond. Not far from Spring Dam Pond, you'll find Silver Birch Pond which is a striking lake, and the County Road Trail offers hiking
at its best. Lakes are pleasant; Rainbow Pond is a lake that's near Spring Dam Pond; there's brilliant hiking along the Metacomet Trail.
