     After a long day outdoors Roger Sherman Inn (Le) is a good location to spend a night or two, and naturally, this is a fine area for people who like lakes, Sheffield Pond is a lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Mullens Pond, and there's some flowing water nearby, Barretts Brook is a stream you can stop by while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Spectacle Swamp is a swamp  
   near Spectacle Swamp, and Days Inn Ridgefield is a tremendous site to get some rest. During the days of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Spectacle Swamp. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Spectacle Swamp.

               Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve; get your pulse rate up on the nice whitewater of Norwalk River. Camping at Kettletown State Park is always a great experience, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Pound Ridge Golf Club. Spectacle Swamp is good enough to spend more than a day at, Mountain Workshop is a good local campground, and a fine place for whitewater paddling is East Aspetuck River.
You can take a little visit to Spectacle Swamp Dam while you're here at Spectacle Swamp; on a delightful day you get a brilliant view of Bald Hill from Spectacle Swamp. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the neighborhood of Spectacle Swamp. The high level of rainfall makes Spectacle Swamp a rather wet location; most of the rain falls through May, and January is when it's the driest.
During your journey to Spectacle Swamp you'll meet some people from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown for sure, and the skiing at Thunder Ridge is wonderful.
