     There's pleasant hiking along the Naugatuck Trail, and Hitchcock Lake Dam is delightful. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Southington Reservoir Number 2. If you get bored of Southington Reservoir Number 2, you could also check out close by Southington Reservoir Number 3, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Farmington River - Riverton. This lake is so wonderful. Near Southington Reservoir Number 2 you come across a golf  
   course called Pine Valley Golf Course, and you can never get enough of the delightful skiing at Ski Sundown. There's so much to do here at Southington Reservoir Number 2 that you need to camp here for a while, Gentile's Camp Ground is a great spot for that, and there are good locations to explore along the Tunxis Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Southington Reservoir Number 2 is not the only place nearby, Hitchcock Lake is a nearby lake; dry warm beds await
 
               you at Holiday Inn WATERBURY. Looking for some flowing water? Try Hitchcock Lake Brook; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Farmington River - Collinsville. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Southington Reservoir Number 2. During your visit to Southington Reservoir Number 2 you'll meet some people from New Haven-Milford for sure, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mount Southington while you're here.
Southington Reservoir Number 2 is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Black Rock State Park is a brilliant local campground; if you need a location to stay Americas Best Value Inn and Suites/Wolcott is a brilliant choice. At Southington Reservoir Number 2 you can distinguish Southington Mountain, and Sleeping Giant State Park is a glorious spot to stop by on a pretty day. Don't leave Southington Reservoir Number 2 without first going for a hike along the Mattatuck Trail.
Southington Reservoir Number 2 gets a large amount of water; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. High temperatures at Southington Reservoir Number 2 all through the warmest time of the year are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Southington Reservoir Number 2 plunge into the 10's.
