Go to South Reservoir if you want to go to a nice lake. If you came for an overnight stay Camp Eagle Feather is a splendid place to camp, and do take a hike on the Tunxis Trail. Very delightful water scenery is available at South Reservoir Dam in the neighborhood of South Reservoir, and for you golfers we recommend close by Buena Vista Golf Course. Lakes are such serene spots, why not take a look at Woodridge Lake in the neighborhood of South Reservoir.

| | Gotta ski! Mount Southington is a pleasant location to do that, and a spree to Talcott Mountain State Park is a wonderful idea. A great nearby hotel is Homewood Suites Farmington, and whitewater paddling is good on Farmington River - Collinsville. High temperatures at South Reservoir during the months of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's | |

Swamps can be such out of the ordinary spots, stop by Spice Bush Swamp if you're here at South Reservoir, and Courtyard by Marriott Hartford Farmington is a great place to get some rest. The
high level of rainfall makes South Reservoir a rather wet site; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. If you love the outdoors, you'll adore South Reservoir.
Hartford Reservoir Number 1 is a delightful lake near South Reservoir, and if you're popping by from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford, you won't be the only one.
This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some
skiing at Powder Ridge, and a tremendous sight of pretty Burnt Hill is available. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Metacomet Trail, and Golden Acres Campground
is a tremendous campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Get covered with water paddling on Farmington River, and South Reservoir is right by the Mattabesset Trail.
