This lake is so wonderful. Housatonic River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot nearby, and you're possibly addicted to lakes, South Pond is one of those nearby. South Pond gets a common amount of precipitation; during May this area sees the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture.       Mt. Washington State Forest is worth visiting if you're at South Pond, and if you're a golfer then a brilliant nearby course is Undermountain Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. You can take a little visit to South Pond Dam while you're here at South Pond, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bash Bish Brook. For the duration of the long summer days here at South Pond, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's,                  and the nighttime is quite colder of course, regularly in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at South Pond are in the 10's. This place, South Pond, it definitely has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Bald Peak can be spotted from South Pond, and Days Inn Great Barrington is a pleasant spot to get some rest. Stay the night at Taconic State Park Rudd Pond, and you can go for a hike on the Elbow Trail. Some nearby water includes Decker Brook; going for a hike on the Northrop Trail is always a great adventure. Yeah, come here to South Pond for a glorious time. There's so much to do here at South Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Taconic State Park Copake Falls is a good place for that, and nearby you stumble on the Indian Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Sharon Motor Lodge is a magnificent choice, and you can hit the slopes at Catamount in close proximity. This is a magnificent area for folks who like lakes.
