Thunder Ridge has great slopes and a friendly staff, and getting to Mill River from Siscowit Reservoir is easy. You get a great panorama of Becks Hill from Siscowit Reservoir, and an afternoon playing golf at Pound Ridge Golf Club is always a joy. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at       Siscowit Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Kettletown State Park is a fine place for that, and you'll meet a lot of people from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown here. You can take a little spree to Siscowit Reservoir Dam while you're here at Siscowit Reservoir, and after a long day outdoors Village Inn Of New Canaan (Le) is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Siscowit Reservoir temperatures                  are regularly in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Siscowit Reservoir during the wintertime generally dip into the 10's. If you come at the right time of year, Norwalk River offers some magnificent whitewater, and Collins Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore. This lake is so wonderful. Siscowit Reservoir is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Clarence Fahnestock State Park is a perfect local campground. Siscowit Reservoir sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May; January on the other hand is the driest.
