You can take a little journey to Siscowit Reservoir Dam if you're here at Siscowit Reservoir, and a spree here wouldn’t be complete without a tour to nearby Seth Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Thunder Ridge in the neighborhood. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Siscowit Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Camp Kiwi. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Pound Ridge Golf

| | Club, and after a long day outdoors Roger Sherman Inn (Le) is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. This is a glorious area for folks who like lakes. Lockwood Pond is a lake nearby; get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Norwalk River. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Siscowit Reservoir. Stay the night at Mountain Workshop, and on a pretty day you get a great sight of Becks Hill from Siscowit Reservoir. | |

Try Mill River; you're in all probability keen on lakes, New Canaan Reservoir is one of those nearby. Siscowit Reservoir sees pretty high levels of rain; the month with most of the rain is May while January is regularly the driest
month. All through the days of summer at Siscowit Reservoir temperatures are typically in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Siscowit Reservoir.

Dixon Lake
 | 18 miles away ...ies ,and every Christmas the people of the surrounding lk. There were none on the east side of the lake at the time. Well we would collect our Christmas trees around fifty or so and dig them into the ice about forty ft apart and make two rows . Then we would all set a time and light em,, and we would skate , fish ,whatever the lines of trees ran from the n.west dock to the east..the clam bakes were held at the other lk..haven just up the stream that ran along my house..After the dam broke from lk haven the water flooded down into our house..What a flood..seems after that we sold the house to a fireman ,,and then our course by accident the house burnt down ,,and I thought fireman were supposed to put out fires not start em .hello to all that still prevail on chestnut ridge. yea I also went to school with Henry Winkler.. And back then we used to trick or treat all the way down to route six..camp sycamore well I still have my green card with the red paper wonder if its still good..the camp was but a lake with a cottage or two..and a cool as heck dirt road..I went to Austin rd elem.my ag... |
