Camping at Sail Caribbean is always a pleasant experience, and a perfect panorama of stunning Canoe Hill is available. Just can't get enough of Silvermine Pond. If you're here at Silvermine Pond and you like golf, you can pop by Oak Hills Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop by Trails End Pond near Silvermine Pond; if you want to hit the beach, Harbor View Beach is close at hand. Seth Low Pierrepont State Park

| | Reserve is a good place to pop by, and Domenicks Pond is a perfect lake close by. For the period of the warm months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Silvermine Pond, and the overnight is quite colder of course, commonly in the 60's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Silvermine Pond. A magnificent close by hotel is Roger Sherman Inn (Le), and at Silvermine Pond you always meet someone from Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk. | |

Swamps are exciting spots and Carter Swamp right next door to Silvermine Pond is no exception, and there's some exciting stuff to catch a glimpse of at Thayers Pond Dam in the neighborhood of Silvermine Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
Belden Hill Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out; if you came to camp Mountain Workshop is a tremendous place to do that. After a long day outdoors Courtyard Norwalk is a wonderful site to spend a
night or two, and Marvin Beach is pretty close by if you're in a beach type of mood. But wait, there's more to do close to Silvermine Pond. Very wonderful scenery and pleasant skiing is what you get at Thunder Ridge, and get yourself
into a kayak and hit Norwalk River. Much rainfall falls at Silvermine Pond; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February is when it's the driest.
