A brilliant spot to explore right next door to Shultz Pond is Cooks Gap; you can go for a hike on the Tunxis Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect site to camp here at Shultz Pond is Gentile's Camp Ground. Through the summer here at Shultz Pond, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are frequently in the 30's with temperatures at Shultz Pond dipping down

| | into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Metacomet Trail is always a splendid adventure, and Shultz Pond is a spot with many visitors from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford. Yep, outdoors cool things to do are really plentiful here at Shultz Pond. If you need a spot to stay Fairfield Inn & Suites Plainville is a great choice, and a visit to Talcott Mountain State Park is a delightful idea. Hawk's Landing Country | |

Club is a splendid golf course close by; there are great sites to look at along the Mattabesset Trail. You can never get enough of the good skiing at Powder Ridge, and there are other locations here than Shultz Pond, for example Shuttle
Meadow Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. At Shultz Pond you can make out Bradley Mountain; if you like swamps you're in luck, Panther Swamp is right nearby. Take a side spree to Stocking Brook, and La Quinta Inn and Suites
New Britain/Hartford South is a tremendous location to get some rest. Camping at Camp Eagle Feather is always a delightful experience, and whitewater paddling is great on Farmington River. Shuttle Meadow Reservoir Dam has glorious
water scenery and it's next to Shultz Pond; skiing at Mount Southington is one of those things you just ought to do. Shultz Pond usually gets a great deal of rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February
meanwhile is the driest month. So much cool stuff near Shultz Pond, completely unbelievable. Shuttle Meadow Pond is a great lake near Shultz Pond, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Farmington River - Collinsville.
