The warmest time of the year at Shingle Mill Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 60's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows at Shingle Mill Pond during the winter regularly drop into the 10's. Spaulding Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit, and if you're going to from Norwich-New London, you won't be the       only one. Champlin Hill is delightful and can be seen from Shingle Mill Pond, and skiing at Yawgoo Valley is one of those things you just should do. Much rain falls at Shingle Mill Pond; the month with most of the rain is November; June is the month with the least moisture. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a nice time here at Shingle Mill Pond. Hiking along the Narragansett Trail is delightful fun, and La Quinta Inn and Suites Stonington is a good spot to                  get some rest. Camping at Ashaway RV Resort is always a good experience, and a delightful close by hotel is Budget Inn-Near Foxwoods. This lake is so wonderful. Shingle Mill Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Frontier Family Camper Park is a good local campground; there's whitewater on Quinebaug River for all you adrenaline people. You can run the rapids of Matunuck Shore Break near Shingle Mill Pond. Glade Brook is a stream that you may stumble upon while here, and Fenner Hill Country Club is a delightful golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful.
