Shepaug Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. If you came for an overnight stay Cozy Hills Campground is a great site to camp, and beautiful scenery and nice skiing is what you acquire at Mohawk Mountain. A large amount of rain falls at Shepaug Reservoir; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. | | a pretty location without doubt worth visiting, and on a pleasant day it's a delightful idea to spend the day at Morris Town Beach. During the days of summer at Shepaug Reservoir highs are typically in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Shepaug Reservoir are in the 10's. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Shepaug Reservoir, too tremendous to be true. a long day outdoors Homestead Inn is a good place to spend a night or two, unsurprisingly you could also stop by Goose Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Woodbury since
you're here, and hey, East Branch Shepaug River is a great local stream. Mt. Tom State Park is both wonderful and delightful, and it's in the neighborhood of Shepaug Reservoir; there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called
the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Yeah, come here to Shepaug Reservoir for a good time. Looking for something in the vicinity of Shepaug Reservoir? Milton Pond is around here, and you'll perhaps meet some folks from Torrington
here. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Bantam River for all you adrenaline people. The Mattatuck Trail is a glorious hiking trail near Shepaug Reservoir; playing golf is lots of fun at Stonybrook Golf Course. This
lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is Tollgate Hill Inn; Looking Glass Hill Campgrounds is a pleasant campground nearby. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Shepaug River; swamps don’t sound that good but Blue Swamp
in close proximity to Shepaug Reservoir is relatively good. This lake is so wonderful. City Hill is clearly visible from Shepaug Reservoir, and you can hit the beach if you want, Litchfield Town Beach is practically right here.
