There's splendid hiking along the Indian Trail. Lakes are great; Wangum Lake is a lake that's right next door to Seldom Seen Pond. You'll meet a lot of people from Torrington here, and a great spot to camp here at Seldom Seen Pond is Lone Oak Camp Sites. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Seldom Seen Pond without first going for a hike along the Elbow Trail; why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Quarry View Golf Course. All

| | through the warm months here at Seldom Seen Pond, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's; the overnight is a little chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Seldom Seen Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. There are nice places to explore along the Wild Cat Trail; if you need a location to stay Blackberry River Inn is a nice choice. There's just no way someone can get bored here | |

at Seldom Seen Pond. Ski Butternut has splendid slopes and a friendly staff, and a trip here wouldn’t be complete without a spree to close by Haystack Mountain State Park. This lake is so wonderful. Great Bear Swamp is an attention-grabbing
swamp near Seldom Seen Pond, and you can run the rapids of Housatonic River. Be careful coming to Seldom Seen Pond, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Do check out Wangum Lake Dam if you're here at Seldom Seen Pond; you're
most likely hooked on lakes, Camp Pond is one of those nearby. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mohawk Mountain, and Tollgate Hill Inn is a great spot to get some rest. Seldom Seen Pond is a quite wet place
regularly with a great deal of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is February. Why not camp at Housatonic Meadows State Park since you're here at Seldom Seen Pond; of course Roaring Brook is a stunning stream that is worth taking a look at.
