Drift down the rapids of Salmon River in a kayak, and nothing beats kicking back at East Rive Beach. If you need a place to stay A Victorian Village Inn is a great choice, and you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Hammonasset Beach. Good hiking is available along the Mattabesset Trail; camping is available at Riverdale Camp Sites. Get soaked paddling on Hammonasset River, and unsurprisingly Chatfield Hollow Brook flows through this neighborhood. Life's

Ridge is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend close by Guilford Lakes Golf Course, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Schumanns Pond; Washington Trail is a pleasant local trail. Why
not camp at Hammonasset Beach State Park since you're here at Schumanns Pond, and don't leave Schumanns Pond without first going for a hike along the West Woods Trail. All through the warm months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's
at Schumanns Pond; the overnight is a little chillier of course, usually in the 60's. During the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Schumanns Pond.
