There's tremendous hiking along the Washington Trail, and Sawmill Pond is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Little City Campground is a fine place to camp nearby. Through the summer at Sawmill Pond highs are commonly in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Sawmill Pond. This lake is so wonderful.

| | Really pleasant skiing awaits you at Powder Ridge, and Priess Pond is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Inn At Middletown is a good place to get some rest, and good hiking is available along the Mattabesset Trail. The peak of Bunker Hill can be made out from Sawmill Pond. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Sawmill Pond has to offer, you can camp at Riverdale Camp Sites. A great deal | |

Inn and Suites Middletown is a delightful choice; get yourself into a kayak and hit Roaring Brook River. While you're here at Sawmill Pond you will meet lots of folks from close by Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford, and while
you're here, you could also go to pretty Palmers Pond. Man, is there a lot of fun stuff to do next to Sawmill Pond. Glide down the rapids of Hammonasset River in a kayak; the Mattabesset Trail offers hiking at its best. Tetram
Pond Dam is worth a visit while you're here, and a tour here wouldn’t be complete without a tour to nearby Millers Pond State Park.
