Get yourself into a kayak and hit Natchaug River, and Branch Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at. If you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Willington is a good choice, and not far from Sabo Pond you obtain some great water scenery at Ashford Lake Dam. Bigelow Hollow State Park is a good place to go if you're at Sabo Pond, and Bucket                  Hill is clearly visible from Sabo Pond. Charlie Brown Campground is a magnificent local campground, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Harakleys Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Quinebaug River offers some great whitewater, and this is a popular site for folks from Willimantic. So many entertaining things to do here at Sabo Pond, too great to be true.
