     Connecticut has many beautiful lakes and Rugg Brook Reservoir is one of them. And that's not all you can do here at Rugg Brook Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and glorious skiing awaits you at Otis Ridge. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Ski Sundown, and during your tour here you'll meet some people from Torrington for sure. Through the summer here  
   at Rugg Brook Reservoir, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Rugg Brook Reservoir tend to be in the 0's.
There's whitewater on Sandy Brook River for all you adrenaline junkies, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Wild Cat Trail. A good deal of precipitation falls at Rugg Brook Reservoir; August
 
               is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Stay the night at Laurel Crest Campground, and a quick spree to Mill Brook is positively a nice idea.
This lake is so wonderful. Burr Pond State Park is a great place to explore; an exciting thing to pop by in the vicinity of Rugg Brook Reservoir is Rugg Brook Reservoir Dam. If you get bored of Rugg Brook Reservoir, you could also stop at close by Camp Delaware Pond, and on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Mattatuck Trail.
Crystal Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. There's so much to do here at Rugg Brook Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, White Pines Campground is a good spot for that. You can see Babb Hill from Rugg Brook Reservoir, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Still River. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area close to Rugg Brook Reservoir has to offer. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn - Torrington, and going for a hike along the Mattatuck Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
