Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Quaboag River. Mansfield Hollow State Park is a pretty place any time of year, and from Ruby Lake you acquire a great view of Parker Mountain. If you need a site to stay Rodeway Inn Willington is a brilliant choice, and do go to Halchek Pond Dam while you're here. This lake is so       wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Natchaug River, and a wonderful lake like Halchek Pond is a tremendous place to pop by. Wilderness Lake is a tremendous campground nearby, and do stop at Arnold Ponds, it's a delightful lake. Ruby Lake frequently gets a large amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. Ruby Lake beyond doubt is in the middle                  of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. Ruby Lake is a perfect spot to visit for more than one day, Moosemeadow Camping Resort is a perfect spot to camp nearby; a golf course nearby is Skungamaug River Golf Club. All through the long summer days, highs mostly are in the 80's at Ruby Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Ruby Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. A good nearby hotel is Nathan Hale Inn And Conference Center, and it's a pleasant idea to stop at Brandy Brook.   Rodeway Inn Willington, Willington Easy access to I-84 & I-90.
