Rowley Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Swamps like Indian Meadow close to Rowley Pond make for fine sites to stop by, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sandy Brook River. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Still River offers some splendid whitewater, and the sight of striking Panorama Hill is good. People from Torrington love to come to Rowley Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along

| | the Mattatuck Trail. At Rowley Pond through the long summer days highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Through the winter the highs are typically in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Rowley Pond. Quality Inn & Suites is a brilliant spot to get some rest; don't forget to take a fine little journey to Colebrook Brook. What a place this is for outdoors people. since you're here at Rowley Pond, and Gaylord Pond is a fine lake close by. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not go to Highland Lake in close proximity to Rowley Pond, and Gaylord Pond Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check
out. Rowley Pond is a wet place that gets a large amount of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August while January is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn - Torrington,
and Burr Pond State Park is a splendid spot to stretch your legs a bit. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Richard Trail is splendid fun, and you don't must go far to enjoy Algonquin State Forest. Very striking scenery and
great skiing is what you get at Ski Sundown, and do take a hike on the County Road Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff near Rowley Pond. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Otis Ridge if you're here; Austin Hawes Campground is a perfect local campground.
