Days Inn - Torrington is a tremendous location to get some rest; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Mattatuck Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Austin Hawes Campground is a great local campground, and Algonquin State Forest is a forest that you can go to. So many exciting things in close proximity to Rowley Pond, truly extraordinary. What would       winter be without some skiing at Otis Ridge, and get covered with water paddling on Sandy Brook River. This lake is so wonderful. Soar down the rapids of Still River in a kayak, and a fine nearby hotel is Quality Inn & Suites. While you're here at Rowley Pond you can take a hike along the County Road Trail, and there are other spots here than Rowley Pond, for example Highland Lake. Rowley Pond is a wet place that gets lots of rainfall; August is the wettest                  month with most rain, and the driest of the months is January. Gotta ski!
